A New Way to Think About Using Smiley 360

Looking for your Smiley break down? Let me clarify that this is not a post about decoding your emoji's and I am not breaking down your happy smiling face. This is a blog post about Smiley and all of the Smiley family links.

I will not take time to talk about signing up for Smiley or any of Smiley's sites. It's all pretty self-explanatory and pretty straightforward. There's more than just one Smiley like the website, in fact, there are several. Some may not be a good fit for you or your lifestyle, which is fine, but there's a list of the Smiley like sites below. If in case I forgot one, or there's any new Smiley like pages, please let me know! 👇

Now that you know about your choice of Smiley like sites, there's tons to do on these sites. If you put in the work, it'll all be worth it. I've had no problems with Smiley or any of the Smiley like sites ever. The work isn't even hard work, it's all pretty easy and something you can do in a matter of minutes.

The Prequalifying Missions

If you go to your dashboard. there's a chance for you to prequalify for a free product. The questions are usually centered around what you know about the product and if it's right for your family. Most, if not all of the questions are multiple choice, there's no time for answering why you want to qualify for a product.
All you need to do to get to the quick prequalifying survey is to click on the "Get Started" button and the rest us all up to you.
I will not explain the questions about the prequalifying survey I did above, because I don't want to give you time to think about the answers, but I can say that I ended up being able to qualify for the study that Generation Good was doing. Just because you passed the qualifying survey and qualify for a product does not mean  that you will get the product, you do have to accept the mission, and sometimes the missions can and will fill up.
If you qualify for a mission you will come to a page like this one

Doing Your Missions

This is one of my current product missions as we speak. It's about PB8 probiotics. I am actually happy about being able to be part of the PB8 mission. I was urged by my doctor to start taking probiotics as a way to help me feel better. To be able to find out what probiotic was right for me, trying PB8 would answer many of the questions I had about the product.

When you get to your mission page and once you get your product. You'll have a card explaining your mission and you'll have a list of tasks you have to complete for your missions. The one thing I really love about missions is, if possibly you know nothing about sharing information about products or blogging, there's going to be tips on what to do, and steps to take to maximize your page views and to get the word out about your products.

Quick Mission Break Down
The little number in the octagon tells you how many points each task is. Sometimes you can do the task more than once and it's okay. On all your missions you have a goal. The goal is usually easily obtainable, and once you're done with a task, and all is good to go, your little grey social media buttons on the side won't be grey anymore.
Required Tasks vs. Optional Tasks
Required task. Required tasks are tasks you must do, most of time it's sharing to your Facebook, posting a review on the retail site the specified and sharing to your Facebook.

Optional tasks. Optional tasks obviously are optional, but if you're new to blogging and sharing your an opinion on products, it doesn't hurt to learn what should be done almost everytime you blog or share about a product. Practice makes perfect and it's not really much work at all.

An Example of a Task

Almost all of the time all you have to do is click on the share button. There are times when you do a task that they will ask you to provide a few words to the link. The way the links and information gets shared depends on the social media account is used, Facebook users will have to copy to a clipboard and then share the information, Twitter is usually just one simple click, but something like Pinterest or Instagram, you're asked to provide the permalink of the product. The task will show you where to find your permalink at. It's all pretty simple.

Another important thing to note about Smiley, and sharing any task, both on your social media and your blog, always post that you got the product for free and if you can include the hashtag #freesample or whatever the task says to do. This is not just something that Smiley asks you to do, stating that you got the product for free is required by the FTC.

5 Quick Tips for Using Smiley and Doing Tasks

  1. Always research your products: It doesn't take tons of work to research your products. When I got my PB8 Probiotics, I researched what probiotics do, and the company itself. This will help you form a review and post a well-informed blog post about your product.
  2. Keep notes: Always keep notes about the product missions you're doing. I like to post my opinions on the products, the due dates, what I want to include in the post, and what I need to do. This keeps you organized.
  3. Follow other reviewers on social media: A lot of the time reviewers and people who use smiley will support one another. They'll like and click on the links as often as they can.
  4. Talk to your friends about the product: I know it's a task on the list, but face to face interaction is great. You'll learn what your friends think of the product and that too will help you formulate your opinion.
  5. Always pretend you know nothing about a product: While it might sound like the opposite of tips 1 and 4 it is not. When I get a product and I'm meant to talk about it. The best approach is to imagine you're an alien who's crashlanded on earth. You know nothing, and the information you gain will help your fellow alien friends learn about what your findings.
